Removing the problem of Japanese Knotweed
Japanese Knotweed is an invasive plant that can cause havoc if left untreated. It is a notifiable weed that needs especial care when being eradicated and can only be transported from site by registered contractors like ourselves. Left to itself, this vigourous, thick stalked, tall growing weed will stifle other growth under a canopy of broad green leaves. Cut it back and it will re-grow profusely, spreading by both seed and new growth from its rhizomes. On a badly cleared site it will continue to plague you with problems, growing under floor voids, penetrating the walls of buildings and disturbing landscape plantings.
Treatment can be by repeated application of herbicides, by excavating or on-site bunding, depending on the time allowed for assuring eradication - which may take 2 - 5 years, using chemicals.
