Wood chip - the biomass fuel

Tree surgery, site clearance and landscaping together produce high volumes of green waste, most of which can be recycled into a variety of beneficial products. Amongst them, wood chippings can become an environmentally friendly alternative to costly fossil fuels - especially, oil, gas and coal.

As a biomass fuel, wood chippings are carbon neutral. The amount of carbon dioxide released to the atmosphere, when burnt, equates to roughly the same amount absorbed by trees as they grow. There is, therefore, no contribution to global warming.

Cost effective and renewable

Wood chip fuel can save 50% or more over oil and LPG and is competitive with current gas prices - especially now traditional fuel costs are soaring. It is also easily replenished from arboricultural waste or managed forestry, helping to protect our long term fuel reserves.

In addition to supplying wood chippings for electrical power generation and commercial applications, we are a source for traditional firewood for domestic use, all converted from recycled green waste.
