arboricultural & landscape contractors

A development of particular benefit to the urban environment has been Green Waste Management, where waste product is recycled for mulches and composting, using mobile equipment. Blythe Valley provides this service locally for about half the cost of removal of green waste by skip, with the added advantage that the residue can be reused to improve the land from which it is taken. As Andy Hall points out, “Our service is economical enough for the private garden and powerful enough to cope with a whole street. It’s an additional service that reflects our philosophy of always finding the most effective solution to any tree, landscape or environment related problem”.

What also is seen at Blythe Valley is an enthusiasm that is shaping its future as a trusted and reputable operation already approved for local authorities embracing Solihull, Coventry, Wychavon, Redditch and Worcestershire. A diverse range of projects have been completed for developers and construction companies, housing and property management organisations, power line safety clearance and domestic households.

Blythe Valley gain additional professional approval

Early in 2005, we were accredited with Approved Contractor status by the Arboricultural Association. Designed to assure both the general public and businesses that a company works to a consistently high standard, the Approved Contractor scheme only registers a company that has undergone rigourous investigation into every aspect of safety, management, training and working practice.

For Blythe Valley it was an important landmark, recognising the company’s success in building a strong local business that provides a wide range of tree work and landscape services to local authorities, property developers, construction companies and the domestic sector. It adds another accreditation to those it has already achieved with Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance to ISO 9001:2000, Investors in People and Constructionline, the DTI approved register of pre-qualified contractors.

The company has invested heavily in specialist equipment and, through collaboration with expert external providers, has developed its own training scheme for both theory and practice.

In the words of Andy Hall, Managing Director, “All we do carries the assurance of top quality work, correct procedures and close attention to individual requirements.

By becoming Arboricultural Association Approved Contractors we have independent proof of our excellence and abilities to do the right job”.
